1. Decide on
Meaning: to choose something after thinking about it.
Example: I decided on English as my major.
2. Apply to
Meaning: to officially ask to join a school, college, or organization.

3. Apply for
Meaning: to officially ask for a job, scholarship, or position.
Example: He applied for a teaching job.
4. Take up

Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Present Perfect Continuous is used to talk about the action that started in the past and is still happening in the present, temporary action and very recent past action showing the result in the present. និយាយអំពីសកម្មភាពដែលបានកើតឡើក្នុងអតីតកាល ហើយកំពុងបន្តក្នុងពេលបច្ចុប្បន្ន ហើយនិងបញ្ចប់ក្នុងអនាគត់។
Usage 1
Action that started in the past and is still happening in the present and will finish sometime in the future.
Example: I have been waiting for my friend for an hour. ខ្ញុំបាននិងកំពុងរង់ចាំមិត្តខ្ញុំអស់រយៈពេល១ម៉ោងហើយ។
Explanation : I started waiting in the past and now I am still waiting. I will stop waiting in the future when my friend comes.
Usage 2
A temporary action. This simply means that we do a specific action for just a period of time. We often use with these adverbs : lately, recently, this week..
Example : I have been feeling stressed recently. ថ្មីៗនេះខ្ញុំមានអារម្មណ៍ថាស្មុគស្មាញចិត្តណាស់។
The action of feeling stressed is not forever but just for a period of time.
Usage 3
Present Perfect Continuous is used to talk about the action that has recently finished and show the result in the present.
Example : The ground is very wet because it has been raining. ដីសើមព្រោះមេឃទើបភ្លៀងហើយ។
Explanation : The ground is wet is the present result of effect and it has been been raining is the cause of recent past action.
