Frequently used action verbs
Here is a list of verbs that are frequently used in daily conversation and it is essentially important for the beginners to know how to read, explain and use them to communicate in their real lives.
Leg verbs
- run : move fast on legs
- walk : move slowly on legs
- kick : use a leg to hit something
- jump : push our body of the ground using legs
- crawl : move on hands and legs
- stand : keep our body vertical using our legs
- sit : put our lower part of the body to rest on something
- stretch : extend our legs
Hand Verbs
- Clap: To hit hands together to make a noise
- Wave: To move your hand from side to side to greet someone
- Point: To extend a finger in a specific direction
- Grab/Grasp: To take something suddenly and firmly
- Pat: To touch someone gently with your hand
- Flick: To move something with a quick, sharp movement of the finger
- Pinch: To squeeze something between a finger and thumb
- Scratch: To rub your skin with your nails
- Punch : to hit with a fist
- Slap: To hit with an open hand
- Rub: To move your hand back and forth repeatedly
- Wipe: To move a hand or cloth over a surface to clean it
- Write: To form letters or words with a pen or pencil

Mouth Verbs
- eat : put food in our mouth, chew and swallow it.
- drinks : put water in our mouth and swallow it.
- talk : say words
- shout : to stream loudly
- chew : use our teeth to break food into small pieces
- sing : make musical sound with our voice
- spit : force our saliva out of the mouth
- bite : use our teeth to cut into something
Nose Verbs
- smell : to use our nose to detect the scent of something
- breath : take in and out the air from our lungs
- inhale : take the air into our lungs
- exhale : send air out of our lungs
- blow my nose : force the air from our lungs through our nose to clear it
- sneeze : air and liquid sent out from mouth and nose that cannot be controlled
Ear Verbs
- listen : use our ears to hear something with focus
- hear : become conscious of sounds coming into our ears with no focus
