4 ways to tell the times

Hour + Minute

Minute + after + hour

Minute + past + hour

Minute + to + hour

It's + hour + minute.

• It’s ten twenty. 10 : 20
• It’s two forty. 2 : 40
• It’s one thirty-five.  1 : 35

It's + minute + after + hour.

• It’s twenty after ten. 10 : 20
• It’s forty after two. 2 : 40
• It’s thirty-five after one.  1 : 35

It's + minute + past + hour.

• It’s twenty past ten. 10 : 20
• It’s forty past two. 2 : 40
• It’s thirty-five past one.  1 : 35

It's + minute + to+ hour.

• It’s ten to three. 2 : 50
• It’s twenty to three. 2 : 40
• It’s five to two. 1 : 55

• 15 ( fifteen or quarter)
• 30 ( half)
