What is Passive Voice?
In passive voice, the subject of the sentence receives the action, rather than doing it. Passive voice is used when :- The doer of the action is not know.
- We don't want to mention the doer.
- Subject receives the action.
Passive voice: The meal is cooked by the chef.
Present Simple Passive
Subject + am/is/are + past participle (+ by + agent)
- Plants are watered everyday by my mom.
- A lot of trees are cut down every year.
- Students are taught at school.
- Cars are manufactured in many countries.
- Pencils are made of wood.
Present Continuous Passive Voice
Sub + be + being + V3.....by........
- Many tall buildings are being built every year in Phnom Penh.
- A lot of trees are being grown every year.
- More and more factories are being closed this year.
- A lot of pets are being raised by my parents.
- More and more videos are being uploaded everyday to YouTube platform.
Present Perfect Passive Voice
Sub + have/has + been + V3.....by........
- Homework has been assigned by the teacher.

Future Passive Voice

Past Passive Voice
